CryoFall
Survival CryoFall begins with the main character's spaceship crashing on some distant and unexplored planet. This "celestial body" is very similar to the native Earth - so much so that even native birches and spruces grow in locations. So a fair question arises - “Are we exactly millions of light years from home? Everything is incredibly familiar here. ”
But you won't have to think about it for a long time. CryoFall is still a survival, so the main character needs to make his way from the bottom up the Maslow pyramid. First - trying to fulfill your vital needs (to find food, water and some household appliances), then - more wind ones. And all this - while exploring all sorts of mysterious ruins and other sci-fi setting.
Successful survival requires a space base
CryoFall begins as a hardcore survival - the main character finds himself on an unknown planet with practically no uniforms and equipment, but with feelings of hunger and thirst. And you have to run from bushes to trees, picking a few berries and trying to eat them.
But then the game slows down the "degree of hardcore". There are enough resources to fulfill vital needs here, you don't have to worry. As part of the training, it is proposed to build the first base, enclosing it with a still wooden wall, build various furnaces, generators and other medical compartments in it, and set off to explore the sci-fi setting around.
For example, each server has mysterious ancient ruins. Going there unprepared is extremely reckless and dangerous, because the local ancient stones "glow" with radiation. But it is there that you can find especially valuable and useful things, as well as rare alien technologies that will help to further strengthen the base.
The second important point is that spaceships regularly rain down on the planet “millions of light years from home”, so it is incredibly crowded here. And where humanity is, there is an economic system. Therefore, in CryoFall, you can print money and arrange full-fledged capitalism on the server. Or communism - everything depends solely on your economic and political views.
But do not forget that other players do not always want to live in a peaceful and prosperous society. CryoFall is a multiplayer survival. Therefore, your base, left without proper supervision, may well be raided by other players in order to profit from resources, money or other values.
Role Model and Survival in CryoFall
CryoFall also features a number of RPG elements. Moreover, the role-playing system here is quite interesting - perks and skills are issued not just like that, from a bunch of bugs, but for real actions that the character performed under the control of the player.
For example, if you often send a character to jog on the map, then sooner or later he will acquire the skill "Athletics", which can be pumped to increase the speed and endurance of the hero. There are enough skills - "Medicine", "Assault", "Construction" and so on, and all of them are pumped not by experience points, but by real actions.
The character itself has four parameters to watch out for:
- Health. It is clear that these are just the character's hit points. Decreases upon contact with an aggressive environment, increases with first aid kits, decoctions of special mushrooms and other local medicine;
- Stamina. A measure of the character's fatigue. If he runs a lot and does all sorts of activities, then endurance will drop to zero along with efficiency. Rest will be required. This parameter is restored on its own;
- Hunger. As in real life, the scale of satiety gradually drops to zero. It must be restored by hunting local animals, growing plants and trying to collect;
- Thirst. Like hunger, this stat will gradually decrease on its own. If it drops to zero, it will begin to affect both health and endurance. So collecting rainwater or digging wells is required to avoid dying from a lack of fluid in the body.
CroyFall encourages going on map trips. It is constantly required to collect more and more resources, explore the environment and try not to die. And all this can be done only if you constantly move.
Multiplayer and Social Model in CryoFall
Out of the box, CryoFall is an exclusively multiplayer survival. Moreover, the built-in multiplayer mechanisms allow you to create entire cities and states on servers.
But other players don't always want to live in peace and harmony. Therefore, PvP encounters are common here. Fortunately, after death, the character is revived with all the accumulated skills and technologies.
