The game skillfully intertwines magic fantasies and popular science theories. Because of this, the plot does not look lean or cliché.

The protagonist is the protector of the last stronghold of humanity on Earth, a safe oasis. Locals call him "Guardian". The hero has special abilities with which he can fight alien invaders. This ability - Light - is the most powerful weapon of earthlings. And aliens deprive the Guardians of this ray of hope. Now the protagonist needs to regain his Light, otherwise humanity will be destroyed along with the last city.

Fans of the series were disappointed with small details about the world. In the second part of the franchise, they were gently bypassed, betting on the gameplay. It worked, but true fans continue to struggle to expand their favorite gaming world.

Graphics

Destiny 2 grabs attention from the first seconds with its beautiful picture. The color scheme is predominantly dark, and in this atmosphere of decay everything enemy and alien glows with bright neon. The models are well developed, the animation of combat interactions is excellent. Interacting with the world is interesting, because because of the visually detailed elaboration you start to believe in it.

The level design of the game is also commendable. Locations look holistic and fulfilled, while they are not confused. The player always intuitively understands where he needs to go, no need to rummage through walkthroughs or guides.

Gameplay

Destiny 2 gameplay will appeal primarily to those who like fast and dynamic passage. Here you don't have to hide a lot, sneak along the corridors and try to beat the game without killing. The character has a huge arsenal of weapons, he is fast and hardy. The moral aspect is also immediately discarded - after all, you have to fight against alien invaders, and you don't mind them!

A separate highlight of the project is shooting. It's really cool to use firearms in this game! Each barrel has its own recoil, physics, ballistics. The arsenal is huge, the technical characteristics are amazing. The weapon differs not only in appearance and animation, it actually fires in different ways, and this cannot go unnoticed.

Serious work has been done on artificial intelligence. Opponents can deftly dodge, crush with numbers and build their tactics against the player. Because of this, some missions have to be completed several times, but this is not annoying.

The game has a multiplayer mode, but it is poorly implemented. With friends on the network, it is proposed to simply kill aliens and collect loot. For some time, the project manages to keep the audience's attention due to the colorful gameplay and a variety of weapons, but soon it gets boring, and there are no alternatives.

New gameplay brought new mechanical improvements. Added a minimap, without which it was not easy in the first part. In addition, the developers have introduced the ability to quickly navigate control markers. This is both a plus and a minus. On the one hand, this technique hits the realism, but on the other hand, no one forces the player to teleport, you can walk.

Features and highlights

While playing Destiny 2, there are many interesting nuances that make this exciting project more complete:

• Each planet has its own internal side quests. They are somewhat of the same type, but each has its own little story. In addition, due to such tasks, you can explore the game world and enjoy its beauty.
• There is a lot more loot in the game. It does not introduce imbalance, but only adds variety. On the one hand, due to this, the gameplay becomes much more dynamic and interesting. On the other hand, the element of survival, which should be present in games about post-apocalypse, alien aggression, etc., disappears.
• The game has a variety of DLCs that greatly enhance the gameplay. However, even without them, the project is completely holistic and does not cause a feeling of understatement after passing.
• PvP mode has arrived! It's pretty simple, but it's nice to try your hand against real people in this cosmic setting. You can't call this mode a big part of the game, but you can have fun and kill time in it. Everything is arranged conveniently and interestingly, but there is no balance due to the variety of weapons.
