League of Legends

League of Legends is a multiplayer role-playing game from the American company Riot Games. The history of the project began in 2009 on two platforms at once - Windows and Macintosh. This MOBA is completely free, but the game has a built-in donation system for those who want to buy special heroes or cosmetic improvements (skins).

Attractive picture

League of Legends attracts primarily with a bright picture. Unlike the main rival of the League - Dota - the local game world is brighter, more contrasting and diverse. The developers are constantly improving their project, improving the graphics and restarting the game characters so that their appearance meets the requirements of the time.

The graphics of the game are cartoonish, but not repulsive. The characters skillfully combine the fantasy grotesqueness of images and the relative realism of proportions. The game menu is decorated in dark colors, it is intriguing and calls to action, and the cards themselves are quite light. It is convenient to fight on them, you do not have to turn the screen brightness to maximum in order to see something.

Gameplay

Thanks to its user-friendly gameplay, League of Legends quickly conquered the hearts of players and became an esports discipline. One battle takes from 15 to 65 minutes, depending on the mode and type of map. The main task is to destroy all opponents, whether they are mobs or other players, or to destroy their buildings.

Each player controls one character - the champion. You can show your skills in different game modes:

• Matchmaking game. You can participate in 5/5 and 3/3 battles. The game is played on a square or long rectangular card. Commands are located in opposite corners of the screen (bottom left and top right). You can't die here forever, but you have to wait for a revival for some time, and for this opponents can destroy buildings.
• Battle against mobs. Also takes place in 5/5 or 3/3 mode. You need to fight against bots - the same heroes, but under computer control.
• Training. In this mode, you can study cards and champions, train without risking losing your rating.
• Custom Game is a mode in which the player can create their own cards and victory conditions.

During PvP battles, opponents are picked up automatically. Allies can also be found by chance, or you can immediately start playing with a well-coordinated team of friends. The selection of enemies is carried out for a reason, the artificial intelligence is trying to balance the teams in terms of the level of character pumping and rating.

Champion System

League of Legends attracts visual lovers with the game design of its champions. At the beginning of 2020, there were already 148 of them in the game. For League of Legends, heroes are not just nameless figures. Each of them has its own story, its own unique visuals and many skins - changes in appearance.

Each character can have five special skills: one passive and four active. Skills must be gradually learned, as the champion is pumping. The maximum level for a hero is 18. It is impossible to make him more powerful through donations.

New heroes in League of Legends drop out of chests for players during events, or they can be obtained for winning fights. In addition, you can purchase a new champion or update the appearance of existing ones using in-game currency. It can be purchased for real money or obtained by completing internal quests and tests.

Also, champions have roles - the directions of their development. There are six of them in the game: assassin, shooter, warrior, mage, support and tank.

Unusual features

League of Legends is a game with a rich history. It has many advantages that attract players, and no less interesting internal chips:

• Challenges and non-standard game modes periodically appear in the game. With their help, developers add variety to the game. These events are usually limited in time.
• The project has its own pop, metal and k-pop groups. For some of them, professional singles were released, and sometimes entire music albums.
• You cannot become a hero alone. The league is a team game, and that's the beauty of it. Only by working together can you gain victory for yourself and your comrades in arms.
• No penalty system! Losing only removes rating, but does not take gold or weaken champions. This makes it easier to play.
• League of Legends has its own elaborate world. It is divided into regions, countries, cities and villages. Champions not only appear out of thin air - they are woven into the overall history of the world. There are friends and enemies, parents and children, couples in love and more.
• The game is supported by videos, comics and stories. If you wish, you can immerse yourself in the world of the game so much that it will no longer be an ordinary RPG for you.

If you like the MOBA genre and the cartoonish style of design, then League of Legends will not be easy for you. Having tested my strength once, I will want to return to this project again!
