Plot

Despite the simplicity of the gameplay, Monster Train has a captivating storyline. The story is quite simple, but the approach to it is unusual. This time the forces of good defeated the forces of evil, and Hell now suffers all the consequences of defeat. One of them is the complete freezing of Pekla. It would seem, but what have we got to do with it? And despite the fact that Hell has one burning shard, which must be delivered as soon as possible directly to the heart of the demon kingdom, so that it does not finally turn into the North Pole. And here it is - our train. True, it consists of only one car, but there are a whole bunch of floors in this car! But you won't be able to get to Hell calmly. Angels are attacking, they want to end the demonic threat forever! To keep the spark of Hell, you need to withstand all the waves of the bright army.

Gameplay

Monster Train is a card strategy game, however, the developers have introduced many interesting new mechanics into it. Due to this gameplay variety, she quickly broke into the market and was able to resist her rivals.

The main feature of the project is the combination of two popular game modes at once: a card game and Tower Defense. Due to this, the game becomes more interesting and dynamic. The key goal is to protect the heart of Hell, the task of the opponents is to take it away. Will the angels burst through the crowd of opponents and kill all the defenders? No, they don't need it. They can avoid collisions with their special abilities, and this is the main difficulty of the game.

The player has a deck of cards that can be improved and supplemented during the game. You will have to go through all the circles of Hell, literally and figuratively. As units - monsters, demons and other otherworldly creatures. There are also spell cards in the deck.

The player himself chooses on which floors of the carriage and who needs to be placed. Battles take place step by step, so after the end of the round, opponents can adjust their tactics. At the end of each stage, the boss gets into the car, which is the main difficulty of the game. By his arrival, the car must have multi-stage protection, otherwise it will not be possible to survive.

Multiplayer

Monster Train is not limited to its storyline, there is also multiplayer. True, PvP in the classic version was not delivered here, it will not work to play for the attackers on the train. The game invites four participants to complete the Infernal Speed ​​Race. The same fight against artificial intelligence, but now there is not much time to build tactics, because someone else can bring the shard! If all players run out of time and no one has completed the mission, victory is awarded by points.

Also, daily challenges and clans have been introduced as a competitive element. In addition, players can shape their personal challenges based on the stages of the game already completed and invite other users to complete them better.

Characters

In Monster Train, all characters are divided into clans. There are 5 of them, and only 2 are available at the very beginning of the game. At each level, the car is defended by any 2 clans, so with the expansion of the army, they can be combined in different ways.

To get a new type of troops in your deck, you need to pass a test. Each sea otter has its own, and, moreover, quite complex. You need to use 100 spells, summon 300 defenders of the carriage, or kill 1300 angelic warriors.

Starting clans are very simple and commonplace. The first is Infernal Spawn, magic units with a high attack rate. The second clan is the Awakened, they combine defensive-attacking and supporting units.

Chips

Monster Train is an interesting and simple game with original features:

• Fighters can be upgraded. This is done between stages. Spells are also improved. All this can be done through a book with cards using magic runes. They can be purchased with in-game gold.
• The train needs to be driven. The player chooses which path to take, thereby determining his bonus for the next round. Somewhere you can heal characters, somewhere - get more gold, and so on.
• The main path to victory is to combine clans and units correctly. If you remember the features of each of them, you can quickly become the champion of the hellish train.
• The races are very long. Each of them can have a maximum of 9 battles, and in total the entire gameplay takes from 30 to 60 minutes.
• The game has a high element of randomness. Cards are issued randomly, so it will never be possible to predict the course of the battle in advance.

Monster Train is a fun and uncomplicated project with interesting mechanics and gameplay features that are familiar to many. The game is definitely viral, it will captivate the gamer for at least a couple of days!
