Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes follows in the footsteps of the popular turn-based RPGs for mobile devices. If you love projects like these, then you will feel in a familiar environment. All mechanics, from enhancements to battles, start to seem familiar once you learn the "language" of Star Wars.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes doesn't try to be very unique, which is obviously bad for the game's creativity. This is mainly due to the fact that the genre has already developed an optimal formula that suits the majority of players, and new projects are easily adaptable to it. The lack of originality in Galaxy of Heroes is easily compensated by the chosen setting.

The universe within the universe

As mentioned, everything in the game (which can be found in almost any turn-based RPG focused on collecting) is colored in a Star Wars theme. The concept of the game itself is inspired by the fictional board game of the franchise - Sabakk. It resembles chess, and this is the same game that Chubaka and P2-D2 played on the Millennium Falcon. Only instead of alien monsters you will control characters from the Star Wars universe.

Which is a little weird when you think of the people from Star Wars playing a game about other people from Star Wars ... never mind. Apparently, this is no more strange than people playing chess with figures carved in the form of historical figures.

The player opens characters who will play the role of "chess" pieces. All heroes have their own special abilities, each of which can be improved and used for a more powerful attack or defense. The character starts out with one unique ability and basic attack, and Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes has made sure that these skills are appropriate for the hero using them.

For example, you can use Chewbacca's roar to get opponents to direct their attacks at him (don't worry, he's tenacious). Java deals some damage to all enemy characters in one attack, and has a bonus chance to disable robotic enemies. Mace Windu makes a powerful lightsaber attack that removes buffs from a specific enemy.

At first, it might be strange for you to see Chubaka fighting on the same side with Java and Mace Windu, but remember that this is not a canon experience, but a game in the Star Wars universe.

Collect your favorite characters in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes

All these characters are opened using data cards, which can be obtained for in-game and real currency, or simply by looking into SW: GoH from time to time. Their content is randomly generated. You can get a playable character, shards that can be used to activate other heroes, and an item with which to equip him.

The number of characters in the game is impressive. Here are the heroes of their two trilogies, the television series "The Clone Wars", and projects from the so-called "expanded universe". It's great that along with fan favorites such as Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Chubaka, Leia and Obi Wan, there are lesser known ones in the game: Savage Opress, Old Duck, Barriss Offee, Iit Cat. Any fan of the Star Wars universe will be able to find their favorite character here, and the most popular ones get variations.

Events

To prevent the game from getting boring quickly, the developers regularly hold special events. To pass such tests is possible only with a certain type of characters, for example, heroes of resistance only. Which pushes players to spend more currency on their opening.

But it is very important to pass these events, because they give access to special rewards that cannot be obtained anywhere else. For example, in one of the latest events it was possible to unlock galactic heroes - Rey and Kylo Ren.

Play Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes with Friends

But perhaps the most interesting feature of the game is the ability to create your own clan and fight side by side with friends. Together you will be able to participate in special guild events, the rewards in which fall out both for the contribution of the entire guild and for your personal one. The more participants there are, the better. The rewards also depend on the selected raid difficulty category.

To join a guild, the player will need to reach level 22. After that, the "Guilds" tab becomes available. Here you will see recommendations of random clans, approximately corresponding to your level, which are recruiting new people. There is also a section with guilds, which include your friends.

Well, if all this does not suit you, you can try yourself as the head of the guild. The game allows you to fine-tune your clan: set a minimum recruitment level, allow joining only after approval or make it free, invite your friends, add a description of your guild to the search for potential recruits, choose a name and create your own emblem.
