World of Tanks Blitz

World of Tanks Blitz is a team game for mobile phones and tablets that works in multiplayer mode. Android and iOS operating systems are supported. You can also launch the game on personal computers (except for PCs on which Linux is installed). The developer of the project is the private company Wargaming.net. The game appeared on smartphones in 2014, and was ported to PC in 2015-2016.

Visual

World of Tanks Blitz has beautiful and uneven graphics. The tank models look just fine, and there is nothing to complain about here. All historical models completely repeat the original prototypes. Even on a smartphone screen, you can clearly see everything to the smallest detail. But the backgrounds on phones and tablets were seriously handed over in quality. Color balance and brightness are also poor. Sometimes the picture seems too bright, sometimes too dull and faded. Also, small details, trees and grass do not look very attractive. There are also problems with lighting.

Gameplay

The entire gameplay of World of Tanks Blitz is built around the battles of randomly assembled teams. Each group consists of 7 people. Teams can combine vehicles from different nations and eras.

The main feature of the game is reflected in its name - Blitz. All battles take place quickly, within 7 minutes. During this time, players need to either kill all opponents, or capture the enemy's base. Most of the game mechanics have been carried over from the computer game World of Tanks, but taking into account the peculiarities of the game on mobile platforms.

There are 6 game modes in total. Each of them has its own special rules and features of victory. It is better to study the information before the battle, because there will be no time to work with help files in the process.

Regular combat is a standard 7/7 battle, there are no restrictions on vehicles. In Rating Battles, players are selected not by chance, but depending on their position in the overall rating of the project participants. Only level 7-10 vehicles can be used. For winning such a battle, the player receives more experience and game currency.

Realistic - a special mode for battles only on historical tanks. A level limit has also been introduced: strictly from 5 to 10. There are no gameplay features, such as highlighting armor in the "sniper" mode.

MadGames is a special type of combat for Domination mode. There, the team needs to destroy all enemies, or gain 1000 victory points. In some regions, the mode does not work at night.

In battles such as "Rebirth", the gameplay has been extended to 9 minutes. It is possible to return your tank to the battlefield 2 times. And the last available mode is "Gravity". Here the gravity of the earth is significantly reduced. Tanks can literally take off and can be controlled in flight. This mode does not take part in statistics and ratings.

Technique

The developers have filled the World of Tanks Blitz game with historical and custom vehicles. In total, more than 370 different tank models are available in the project, and this number is constantly increasing. They are all divided into classes: light, heavy, medium, and tank destroyers. Unlike the computer version, there are no conventional SPGs in the mobile game due to the fact that their size is too small.

The class of the tank is taken into account during the formation of teams. In most modes, each group should have no more than 4 heavy, medium or light vehicles. This limitation was introduced to make the gameplay more varied.

The models themselves are no different from the tanks that were introduced in the PC version. Technically they have been slightly simplified. It has become easier to obtain modules, no need for a radio station.

Tips and interesting little things

The appearance of World of Tanks Blitz suggested itself from the moment of the active development of mobile gaming. And the game quickly found its audience after the release, including due to the formed fan base and thanks to the many interesting features of the project:

• No new accounts or registrations required to play. You can use your password and login from Wargaming.net. Data from other games of the company will also be saved there. You cannot change technique between different versions of the game.
• Blitz is not a copy of its computer version, but an independent game. There is no crew, no artillery, and no huge maps. Everything has been redesigned for the peculiarities of mobile devices, so it is convenient and interesting to play.
• The game has a premium store, but it does not imbalance. In addition, premium tanks are even inferior to conventional ones in some aspects. For example, you cannot change parts in them (tower, cannon).
• Dozens of maps have been created for the project. If their design leaves much to be desired, then the gaming characteristics are worked out to the smallest detail. They were created taking into account real topographic data, each dominated by its own season. Also, the cards are not symmetrical. A team may initially find itself in a better position for itself.

World of Tanks Blitz is a good, stable and balanced game. The touch controls are not annoying, the models look beautiful, and you quickly stop paying attention to uneven backgrounds. It is definitely worth playing, especially for those who consider themselves to be fans of the computer version of the game.
