Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Once upon a time there was Karl Johnson, an ordinary African American, rapper and bandit, and he was doing the usual things for such a representative of the freest country in the world. Robbed, used drugs and fought other gangsters. In the end, he got tired of all this, and he left San Andreas for Liberty City. There he also robbed, used drugs and fought with other gangsters.
In this rhythm of life, he spent five years. And then he returned to his native land of Los Santos. And now he will have to rob, use drugs and fight other gangsters. And outside the window - the 90s, the heyday of corruption and crime.
Spent!
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the game with which many began to get acquainted with the series. True, she was far from the first. Before her was the equally masterpiece Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and the second part (from the top view) is still able to please with its humor, interesting and varied tasks, as well as a funny comedic atmosphere.
But it was GTA: SA that became the game for the sake of which they walked through the lessons in schools and bought tickets to the computer club for the whole night. Exciting gameplay, a large and partially open world, as well as a masterpiece "spent" translation became the reason why the story of Carl Johnson became popular with the people. And also - fashion. But about them - separately.
So, 1992. Carl Johnson, a 25-year-old African American, returns to his native West Coast after five years on the East Coast. He came to bury his mother, who died in a shootout with representatives of a rival gang. On the way, Karl (whom no one calls that, but is called CJ) is detained by a policeman, whom he accuses Johnson of murdering his partner and informs that now the bandit traveler is under the strict control of law enforcement agencies, and if he does not cooperate, then he has for some unknown reason, different not too legitimate values will appear.
And now CJ needs to make his gang the largest in Los Santos, deal with rival Ballases and other groups, and also end police corruption by destroying the main corrupt official. Any FBK never dreamed of this.
Gameplay in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
GTA: SA is a pure action shooter in which you have to drive, shoot and shoot while driving. It features an almost open world. More precisely, the cities - and there are three of them here - become available during the passage of the game. Initially, you can "drive" CJ only around Los Santos - but it consists of 32 large districts, so even here there is something to see and admire.
Missions at the beginning are about the same. Go back and forth, shoot a little there, return to your home area. On the other hand, the criminal life of small street gangs is very well demonstrated: in some missions you will need to paint graffiti, take part in low-rider races, rob army warehouses or steal an audio system to make your gangmate a great rapper.
GTA: San Andreas motivates to go through the story. Here in the missions there are additional mini-games, and quite interesting and enjoyable, and without any radio-controlled helicopters. In some, you need to show dancing skills, in others - to burn a field of hemp, in the third - to take some provocative photos. In general, monotony (despite the general outline) is not observed.
Mods for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
GTA: San Andreas became famous including third-party mods. In the late 00s, when computers became as accessible as possible, only the lazy did not make their additions to it. In most cases, the mods were pretty commonplace - some crazy vehicles, strange weapons, flying cars and other zombies on the streets were added. But if you were very lucky, you could find a plot addition. Or a mod that turns the main character into Michael Jackson. Why not?
It should be noted that GTA: San Andreas mods are focused primarily on freeplay. That is, the whole map is open here, you can go to any available city or region, and there arrange a bloody bacchanalia with UZUMYMW, AEZAKMI and HESOYAM all the time.
At the same time, freeplay in GTA: SA gets boring pretty quickly. Because it is rather monotonous - you kill police officers, then even more police officers, police helicopters, tanks ... And what next? Even with six asterisks - this is the maximum wanted level - nothing concretely changes, all the same helicopters and tanks.
So, to get pleasure from immersion in the criminal world of the West Costa, it's worth going through Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas storyline. Moreover, it fully justifies itself.
