The game combines both a novel and a horror, the Comfy Company decided to present the anime in a somewhat unusual format. Promotion begins with the fact that the main character wakes up in some kind of purgatory, and the local goddess gives him a chance to change his life. For which the hero gets as much as 4 days, and each of them takes place in different countries. The authors chose Japan, Russia and America, the color emphasizes the behavior of the heroines who accompany the chosen one. These are the cuties Nana, Sima and Martha, the ending of the game depends on which of them the hero chooses. In principle, you don't have to choose anyone, this option is also provided. There are 8 endings in total, so it will be interesting to play all the options.

Gameplay and its features

Moving forward follows the principle: we look at the sprite, read the text, make a choice to determine the relationship with the girls. Nice to dilute the plot of the mini-game. In fact, the choice has to be made from several proposed options: life, death, love, hate. This is such an unusual format of the afterlife. For example, one of the heroines persuades the others to choose death, which allows them to live forever, although such a choice did not bring happiness to anyone.

In addition to girls, the authors brought out the only guy - Ermi, his role is unenviable. All attempts to break into the general conversation are ignored, he is something like a classic loser, no matter what he does, everything is wrong and wrong. In general, the game is mixed with both mysticism and suspense, there are interesting inserts that contribute to escalating the situation.

Heroes and their characters in "Moe Era"

Players evaluate the characters differently, many even wonder why such a "motley" composition. There is a teacher with her power over the universe, there is an emotional lover of reading, whose outbursts she presses under the mask of feigned indifference. Or take a pink-haired pretty girl who loves to push others, but all this turns out to be something like self-defense. And also a cat girl skips, about whose role gamers find it difficult to say anything definite.

By the third part, the game is already beginning to resemble a dating simulator. For example, you can seduce heroines ... not guessing what! Guess which dessert you like best. The idea is strange, but with such a presentation of the afterlife, in principle, it is not surprising. But, according to the players, the girls are registered well, it is noticeable that each of them also has their own problems with finding a place in life.

By the fourth part, it becomes clear that the main characters are goddesses, like that, no more, and no less! And such a simulation was created so that the main character - apparently, together with the player - was able to improve. As a result, all the members of the group somehow sort out each other and come to the conclusion from the series “you need to do something to change your life for the better”. Simply put, the main idea that they tried to convey is that there is always a panacea, everyone can find it, and at the same time, drastically change your life in literally a matter of days or hours. In general, something like that.

This basic idea is scrolled repeatedly, substantiating it with different statements, which, moreover, often contradict each other. For example, one of the girls reproaches people for striving to be nostalgic without measure, and then she herself begins to paint how much better everything was before, from the series "people are smarter, kinder, the grass is greener", which, in fact, is the same nostalgia.

Critics point out that the authors have not completed the target audience of this project. For teenagers, such jumps in the plot, coupled with confusion, are too complicated, for adults they are uninteresting. Many statements seem to go into emptiness, without an addressee.

Pros and cons

In principle, for adolescents, such "showdown with travel" may be interesting, why not? And communication with different girls will also be beneficial. But critics still point out that the novel "Moe Era" lacks integrity, too much confusion. And this creates the impression of a random set of characters who, in general, it is not clear why they have gathered in one company.

Of the strengths - a successful study of backgrounds, a variety of characters, creative solutions offered during the game. Well, and great animations. Music successfully complements the high-quality drawing and elaborate sprites, which together create an unusual and mesmerizing atmosphere. By the way, Russians also took part in the development of the game, so the scenes in Russia turned out to be very colorful.

In general, visual novels are, perhaps, a fundamentally new approach in games, where you need not only to move forward, but also to think, analyze, compare. To be able to make decisions, and most importantly - to assess the consequences of these very decisions.
